Default Balim gets buzzed

The seagull young on the island have turned to fledglings and started
dropping off the rooftops where they were hatched and waddling around
on the ground under the watchful eyes of their parents while they get
their wings.

Balim (4 yo English cocker spaniel) showed a more than passing
interest in a couple of them yesterday. As she got closer to them the
adult seagulls in the vicinity set up a ruckus. When she got *too*
close to them, several of the birds approached her in a series of
menacing diving runs that scared her off.

Today during our walk she made a point of not going near the seagull
babies.

Balim may have a small head but she learns fast.

One-shot learning has a lot of survival value.

Good for Balim!
