Dog's nails are turning black...
A nail turning black isn't a condition. It's just growing up. They may not even need cutting ever. Most active dogs don't need it.

This condition can be painful and also lead to deformities of the feet. A couple of my dog's nails have turned black and I'm not sure why. I am afraid to clip his nails because I can't see where the "pink" area is. He is my first dog, so I haven't had any experience with this. Why did they turn black and how should I now clip those nails? Thanks, Julie Thompson |
