Default I need help

Hello everyone,
Our 10 months old Australian Shepherd has been having diarrhea since the
past couple of days. It started a few days ago, and then the next few days
it stopped and his stool became solid again, however, it started again
earlier today. What could be wrong? Should we take him to the vet?
I have read some FAQs regarding canine diarrhea, however he does not show
any of those wrong symptoms other than diarrhea alone. He is still playing
and eating normally. We never give him any scrap food or table food, just
regular dog food. But we caught him chewing or eating other "stuffs" he
wasn't supposed to chew or probably eat.
Any suggestions??

Thank You in advance.

If it lasts more than a day or so and it's unexplained, Take your dog to
a vet. If there is blood in the stool, don't wait.

May I piggyback to add; take a small stool sample with you (or take one
to the vet first). Whip worms can cause the problems that you describe.
How do I know? We just found out the hard way about whip worms!

It could also be giardia. My girl used to get this quite a bit.
