Day 5
"montana wildhack" wrote in message: Well there's one puppy here that I may have to strangle, and it won't take much to push me over the edge. It's a big girl puppy with the biggest mouth known to puppydom and she even complains in her sleep. There's nothing wrong with this girl (believe me, we check), she's just a diva. In your marketing material, she should go down as 'opinionated'. Have you tried a shock, pronged, spike, pinch, choke collar yet? Bet that'll help. The puppies started to wag their tails last night. It isn't exactly wagging, but their tails are moving in that motion. Awwww. That sounds adorable. I'm feeling less worried about them and more worried about us with each hour that passes. What are we going to do with five mobile puppies??? Over the holidays??? Since *everyone* has time off during the holidays, they can all pitch in and help. Start recruiting unsuspecting volunteers now. I hope our marketing is helping; we had another inquiry last night. Hope the inquiry was from someone who is a) serious b) potentially a great home. I was thinking "vigorous" was a good word. They don't have any collars yet, but I'll look for some itsy-bitsy, teenie-weenie choke collars... (More sound advice...) "Spirited" is the word you're looking for. Kathleen |

"Spirited" is the word you're looking for. All kidding aside, one long-time breeder had some great insight for me. She said that the loudest one in the litter was sometimes the most sensitive to stimulation, which can be a bad thing. The dog that's hollering all the time may have a thin nerve structure (as in, reactive temperament, not as in a physical condition). I'd be wary of the really noisy dog for that reason. Not that the dog couldn't make a great pet, but if I was dog shopping, I wouldn't pick that one as a working prospect. |
