My dogs have done poorly on corn based foods.
Come off it David - put up or shut up, for crying out loud. Show us the proof for this asinine statement. We've been waiting for weeks for you to support this nonsense. Just as a remidner of the last couple times you made this silly statement I gave you some facts. I'll repeat them again for you. Corn IS 1. The starch fraction of corn is 99+% digestible in dogs - like nearly all grains. 2. The protein fraction of corn is more digestible than any other grain. 3. Corn contain 5 times as much natural essential fatty acids as rice. 4. Corn contains high levels of lutein - a critical micro nutrient. 5. Corn is 20 times less likely to be an allergen than wheat. |

i went to school with died in the hospital from it. they pumped him *way* full of IV liquids. Hyponatramia is not exclusive to drinking water alone. It's a combination of things that cause this problem, like perspiring, not getting enough salt in the diet etc. I'm familiar with it. Do you know how much water you would have to consume for it to affect you??? At any rate, getting back to Melinda's original point, no one's gonna convince me that moisture in *dog food*, or water in a dog food can kill your dog. That has got to be one of the most idiotic things I have ever heard. Plus, given the statement from Melinda in response to a previous poster who warned, "Stay away from chemicals.": Melinda responded, "Yes, absolutely! For example, too much dihydrogen monoxide will definitely kill your dog. Chemicals, ick!!" ....unless she forgot to separate the two sentences, it's apparent that she actually thinks that water is a *dangerous* toxin. I have just one thing to say "caustic" water and that is, "Bwahhhhhaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaa!" "Water, ick!!" - ROFMAO! I mean, that is really grabbin' for straws to suggest that moisture in dog food is synonymous with toxic chemicals that can kill a dog. I'm so sure! eyeroll |

I'm so embarrassed to have been caught out in a simple-minded joke like this. I'm especially embarrassed to have been caught out in a public forum. It's so humiliating. Thank you so much for setting me straight, and especially for your sincere expression of empathy. DHMO is included in every virtually every dog and cat food, although it's typically mislabeled to hide what it really is. I know for a fact that it was associated with one of my dogs' excessive urination and incontinence. Wow, I'd never heard of it before. So what do they label it as, do you know? -- PawsForThought |
