Buffoon my ass, bitch. Sure, and a brand new mercedes could be free
too--what the hell does that prove? You want to buy a purebred pup
from me, you'll pay big bucks. That's a stupid argument.

n case

I just got a free purebred puppy out of Championship parentage.
http://shell2.lomag.net/~moosedog/pup.html just in case you want to check
the pedigree.
It does not have to be a lousey dog in order to be given a free purebred
puppy.
Not everyone relates to dogs and owners the way your little world does.

You can fill a room full of exceptions and not change the main premise of an
arguement.

You and I have the same breed and I wouldn't want to buy a puppy from
you. Like diddy I recently got a free puppy from top parents. Sire is
V rated, schutzhund 3, good ZW. The breeder went and saw him in his
home situation as well as looking at his koer report and scorebook.
And she is fluent in German so she doesn't have to rely on someone
else's translation. The bitch is the sixth generation of her own
breeding. And these dogs are titled in AKC obedience, tracking and
agility as well as some having schutzhund titles and herding titles.
The breeder breeds only for herself and would rather give a puppy away
to someone that she knows that would be the right home than to sell her
puppies for the several thousand dollars apiece that she could get for
them. (And this is the second such dog I've been given from her.)
BTW, I looked at the sheps4u website and was underwhelmed.

When you buy a purebred, you know exactly what you are
getting, if you purchase from a reputable breeder. My latest female will
not exceed 65 lbs, which is standard for a female GSD. I have a breed
standards book which has the standards for all breeds recognized by the
AKC.
If my female exceeds 65 lbs, I wouldn't be able to show her, so it is
paramount, if you are buying a puppy to show, that you know what wt. she
will attain.

Gotta piggyback he

So go look at your book for Labrador Retrievers, for me will you, please?
Then go look at the monstrosities they are showing and winning BOB (Best
ofBreed) in their group. You tell me that is what the ORIGINAL Labradors
were to look ike, that the 'akc standard' hasn't changed. This is only to
get some answers for myself no attack.

Those Westminster dogs are extremelley overweight, over skinned, VBG,
(more like bloodhounds), and so large I doubt they'd get anywhere near my
lab gal. (And nope, no anti-Westminster person here, I know many of
Manhattan's decendents, personally. You do know who Manhatten was right?)

She, Ceilidh aka Boo, was 'adoptewd' at 4 mo old from the Erie SPCA in
Philly. She was bought at a pet store, coming in on a puppymillers truck,
I'm sure. And yet, even tho she has a very serious problem with her hips,
(NOT hip dysplaysia, but not well bred.)

Take the two of them, the Westminster Labrador winner and my adopted lab
gal, out to do what Labs are BRED to do, and see who comes in the closest to
the breed's 'standard' for doing what they were bred to do. It ought to be
very simple. This will show a very big difference in shape and size. It,
however, in no way, diminishes that my lab gal is a true lab, given her
ht/wt standards, and also her main reason for being bred..... Even tho she
was bred by unscrupulous 'breeders', she is so much more the 'field bred'
lab and designed to do just that, moreso by a long shot than the overweight,
fat, slobby, labs that win at Westminster!

Yes there is. If your dog is too heavy, you cannot show. Standards are
standards, and wt. is a standard just as is coat color, ht., and bite.

please quote the akc standard for the gsd in regards to weight.

And for a follow-up please state the AKC standards for weight for all of
those Labrador Retrievers that have been coming up as BOB at Westminster.

You might check the label and make sure they have finally added
supplemental taurine to the food.

No argument here, with you Steve, as you know I highly recommend NaturaPets
products, all with added Taurine. Check out www.Naturapets.com or go to
www.doberdogs.com to find any other foods with this.
