Default Dog boots

Okay, I know this discussion has gone on before but I'm wondering if there
is any new information on the subject.

I'm looking for dog boots for the schnauzers. DH wants to do a lot more
walking with them this winter and the dirt road gets muddy and/or slushy -
which quickly soaks through their leggings and they get too cold. Dry snow
and cold they can handle with no problems but not the "wet".

And SIL wants some for her Bichon who gets walked on salted city streets.
(As do the schnauzers when they are visiting Grandma.)

So - anybody got any suggestions? What brands or features that have worked
and what hasn't?

Thanks,
Judy
