My 2 cats are worthless. Roxy caught and killed a mouse just now, while
the cats watched... I didn't want to take it out of her mouth so I sent her outside with it. Joy. -- Lynne http://picasaweb.google.com/what.the.hell.is.it/ |

We always get some mice and I would appreciate it, since we can't have cats, if somebody would step up to the plate! Maybe Neo will turn out to be a great mouser when she isn't distracted and exhausted all the time. Tonight I'm wishing mine weren't so stupid as to keep shutting themselves in rooms. I am beginning to think it is a game. They do that to themselves about once a month and then all of a sudden it's every hour or two today? I don't even hope for them to get off their butts and do something useful for me. I'm just wishing they'd stop dragging me off my butt to go rescue them. -- Paula "Anyway, other people are weird, but sometimes they have candy, so it's best to try to get along with them." Joe Bay |

I never thought of a dog as a mouser, but I guess that's because I have always had cats. I brought my current adult cat home as a feral at the age of 4 months (he's now 3). He has taken domestication to the extreme, though. Last year was the first year we had a mouse problem, and the only thing Rudy attacked was his food bowl. I had to resort to traps. Ich. I'm thrilled Roxy got the little bugger! I'm pretty sure there are more to be had. I'm actually surprised the kitten didn't get him since he routinely attacks the toy mice. It's gotta be a game, kind of like when babies learn that they can throw their food/drink cups/toys/whatever and make mom and dad retrieve them. Sounds like you are well trained, Paula. Rudy joined in the pursuit at one point, but then we went to bed. I believe the saga will continue this morning....... -- Janet Boss www.bestfriendsdogobedience.com |
