Default treeing walker coonhound -at scenic overlook in Pigeon Forge, TN

I'm writing in regards to a walker coonhound I found on a scenic
overlook on the Foothills Parkway in NC. My husband and I were on
vacation from Tampa Bay Florida and were on our way to Gatlinburg and
therefore dropped the dog at the Sevier County Humane Society in TN
(near Pigeon Forge). He is so sweet, slightly timid, but after coaxing
him for about 15 minutes we were able to pet him and eventually load
him into my husbands car. He is about 70 lbs. and looks to be fairly
young, maybe 2 or 3 yrs. Super sweet and got very excited and was
wagging his tail a lot around my husband.

Long story short, we got a call from the Sevier County Humane Society
865-453-7000 (Sevierville, TN) where we dropped him off and they want
to know if we are going to adopt him b/c they decided that he was not
adoptable, and not b/c of health reasons, but b/c they said he was dog
aggressive. From what I saw of him when they put him in the cage, he
was definitely not dog aggressive last Tuesday and unfortunately, I
know what a dog aggessive dog is b/c I have a doberman pit pull mix
that is dog aggressive. He is not that, at least wasn't when they got
him last Tuesday.

If there is an organization could pick him up, or foster for a while
I know he'll be a great dog for someone to adopt. However, having two
rescue dogs of my own, I know they'll put him and most dogs down for
the slightest thing if they don't have the space. From what they said
today, if we didn't adopt him he would be put down by Friday. Please
let me know if you think you'd be able to help this sweet male
coonhound dog or, if you know an organization that could. Today is
Tuesday the 6th. They'll want my husband's and my answer by Thursday
the 8th I'm sure.
