Default NY: Loving, scared family dog on kill list today (Thursday 10/24)

Hi all,

Please pass this on. You never know who might know someone . . .
He's very friend, great with other dogs, and terribly sad and confused.

Mani, ID # is A0948787

Please spread the word. He is very adoptable and has no known medical issues. He would be an easy adoption for a good rescue.
I can send a pic if you want.

Thank you,
Nick Scholtes

Loving family dog recently surrendered to facility on kill list for tomorrow
Mani

On October 13, Mani, ID # is A0948787, was surrendered to the Manhattan Center Animal Care and Control, in New York, by his family.

According to the shelter notes, Mani's family was not able to keep him anymore because he was a "banned" breed at their place of residence.

Now, ten days later, Mani is already on the "kill list" for tomorrow, October 24.

Mani is young, not even two years of age.

He is friendly, good with other dogs, and terribly sad and confused.

You can see that confusion and worry in his beautiful, expressive eyes.

A perfectly, healthy, stunningly beautiful, friendly dog who lost his home, through no fault of his own, will cease to exist by this time tomorrow night unless an adopter or rescue steps forward.

Mani's prior owners stated on his surrender paperwork:

GREAT PET WE LOVE HIM HOPE HE FINDS A GREAT LOVING HOME WITH A GREAT LOVING FAMILY.

A volunteer who met Mani shares:

Mani is slowly adjusting to life without the only family he has ever loved. He comes for a walk willingly but is still looking for his people. He is unbelievably handsome and it was clear how much he was loved. He allows me to hug him, happy for the human connection even though he is not sure of who I am and why I am in his life. This gorgeous dog is clearly a loving companion and needs a new family to make him whole. Please open your heart to him.

You can lend a hand to Mani by sharing his information - Tweet, email, Pin, and post to Facebook.

Please take a moment to help Mani live to see the end of this week.
