Default Grass Eating

Can anyone tell me why my 5 year old Wire Hair Dacshund will from time to
time chomp on grass? I am guessing it has something to do with
regurgitation like cats, but as I am a new dog owner (my dog came to me by
way of my girlfriend!) I am not sure, and I find it intruguing.

Mike
