Default torn ligament ????

My dog is seven years old and lately she wont use her right rear leg
when walking,
I took her to vet and he is suspecting torn ligament inside the knee.
Would anyone
know what the treatment would be and if it is possible to heal it
completly.????

The only fix for a torn ligament is surgery. It will not heal on it's own.

Unfortunately, surgery, just as if you tore your own knee ligament. Best
luck.

What ever you do go to a specialist who knows what he is doing. My dog had
the same problem & my own normal vet operated & messed it up, It is now 14
months after surgery & my dog has severe arthritis in the joint & still
can't use the leg properly.

It is well worth the extra money to use a specialist especially if you
have a large dog. One of my dogs has had both ACLs repaired in the past
7 months and is doing great. It is only 2 months since the second leg
had to be repaired and he almost never limps and would like to be more
active than can be allowed yet.
