My Megan Died last night
Megan was a 3 yr old sweet heinz 57, full of energy until a week ago.
She had started licking a place on her right rear foot a couple of weeks ago. I took her to the vet last Wed. My complaint was my dog being listless, and the foot. They x-rayed the foot ( no break) and gave me some ointment, some antibiotic pills, along with some temeril-p. Yesterday I noticed her having trouble breathing, and decided she would go back to the vet today. She straightened up, and I decided I would keep her close by for the rest of the day. I gave her a spoonful of milk and she lapped it up. I tried a spoonful of cottage cheese and she staggered and I caught her. Then she laid down and rested. She seemed OK, but listless the rest of the day. I took her for a couple of short walks and she seemed somewhat better. I decided to give her a little bit of beef bits in gravy in the evening. She about knocked the can out of my hand to get at it, and lapped up several ounces before going into a convulsion, and dying within a very short time. I tried clearing her airway and pumping her chest. I've called the vet but she is off today. Does anyone have any idea what the problem was? http://cpcug.org/user/jlacombe/tom.html |

I am sooo very sorry that you lost your precious Megan.
I would agree that you should still at the very least contact the Vet. "Tom Lacombe" wrote in message ... Megan was a 3 yr old sweet heinz 57, full of energy until a week ago.
