We just encountered a one-armed jogger. Pip, my Maltese, grumbled,
growled, and looked to me for permission to attack. We wanted to tear
off the other arm so the guy would match.
He's a determined critic of running form. Our lagoon is the
turn-around for the local marathon. Pip watches the smooth-gaited
runners impassively, but if someone comes by flapping their arms and
legs,
he barks furiously.
More than other dogs I know, he has a sense of 'correctness'. He
doesn't like furniture moved about, doesn't like people to wear weird
clothes.
How did I create a conservative, politically incorrect dog? Where
have I failed?
