9.5 year old dog had a big seizure

My 9-1\2 year old retriever/border collie mix had an 8-minute
seizure(s) Friday night.
Emerg. Vet clinic said it might be a brain tumor. His blood sugar was
a little up - he had a bisket about 6 hours before blood work up.
Anyone have any ideas, comments, etc,.
He is an inside dog, one of 4 rescues I have. I found him when he was
about 4-5 weeks on a road; he had been dumped. None of the other pets
are sick, no nasty neighbors to poison him, etc. We do have frogs but
he ignores them, one of the bassets catches them and brings into the
house to set loose….don't even try to figure out a basset.

As they say in the south, he is my 'best-dog', brings in paper, always
with me when I am home, picks up things on the floor for me even the
bobbins I drop when sewing, brings everyone's dish to me at feeding
times, picks up his toys, and my best friend - up there with husband
and daughter.

How very scary! I don;t have much advice, but if you can post to
'rec.pets.dogs.behavior' there are several folks (especially Matt) who can give
you some personal experience as well as lead you to supportive groups. Will
look for you there!
