Ten days after we lost her, the family we had been visiting when we lost her
called at 3:30 AM. She was outside their bedroom barking. By the time my
Dad got there, she was not to be found. So he came home after walking the
neighborhood. At 5 AM when I left for work, he came and told me about it.
I called a local radio station and had them broadcast the details. (It's
nice to live in the south where people still care about a silly lost dog and
will do something like this!!!) About 6:30, the family called again. It
was storming something fierce (Lady doesn't like storms) and she was outside
pacing in the road. They had tried to call my Dad, but the line was busy.
So I called his cell and told him that they had called. He called me about
20 minutes later saying he had her!! She's pretty close to normal now, but
she had some kind of fight out there and lost about 10% of her weight. Vet
gave her some antibiotics to help with a skin fungus she picked up, bathed
her, and cleaned a minor scrape on her head between her eyes. Looks like a
claw mark. Her appetite seems to have returned and so has her spirit.
Needless to say, we are beyond ecstatic!!!

Thank God she wasn't stolen. Se's a beautiful dog. Do you have a
microchip implant inside her? She does looklike a lady in that picture.

No, we don't have the microchip. I'm not entirely sure that the technology
is available in this part of the world!!! I don't know that it ISN'T
available, just don't know if it IS!!! LOL!! Thanks for the info, I'm
bookmarking it. We're taking her this evening to fit for a harness so she
and my Dad can start their walks again. Since it was her metal collar that
broke allowing her to get loose, he wants something more secure!!

We're just grateful she was brought home before this week. We are sitting
smack in the middle of the path of Katrina. She is expected to arrive here
as a tropical storm by Tuesday afternoon.

Can I ask why you don't know how to quote and attribute? I mean quote
the other person's answer in your reply?

I don't know what you are talking about.
