Default Material for crate bedding?

Do you need to keep them in crates all day long? Sounds like the dog
could either be frustrated or have to go to the bathroom or bored or
lonely. I would try to train them to be able to stay in the house
outside of the crate. One thing that can help a dog stay calmly in the
house is to disapate their excess energy by giving them a nice long walk
in the morning before you leave for work. Then they don't have the
energy to be destructive.
