Put dust on paws (as in dry dirt), and wash off dust. Repeat. The oil prefers dust to paw, so comes off each time you repeat. Say half of it each time, so after 20 times you've got one millionth of the initial oil left. It works on concrete anyway. 2. Put on vegetable oil and wash that off. I have the feeling it might mix with motor oil. Disadvantage is that it makes the paw attractive to lick, if it doesn't work. -- Ron Hardin On the internet, nobody knows you're a jerk. |

Motor oil removal from dog paws
I would try Dawn dish soap and wash them repeatedly.

Motor oil removal from dog paws
On Tue, 11 Jul 2006 01:49:19 +0000 Sharlene Frizzell whittled these words:
Has anyone had to remove motor oil from their dogs paws? If so, what did you use?? The advice for removing motor oil stains from clothing works for dogs too. Start with petroleum jelly. Work it into the paws then wipe it off with paper towels. Do this two or three times. Then follow up with Dawn dishwashing liquid. -- Diane Blackman There is no moral victory in proclaiming to abhor violence while preaching with violent words. http://dog-play.com/ http://dogplayshops.com/ |
