bath time

Today was the day that Buddy has been dreading. Along with a dreadful bath
he had to ride in the car to neither of which he is fond of. I've never
seen a dog hate water so much in my life as he does. You would think with
him being beagle/cheasapeake bay retriever that he'd like water.

The last two times he got bathed in June it was an all out wrestling match
to get him to hold still. I have been dreading it ever since. Today we
went to the doggie car wash it meant driving 40 minutes there but it was a
nice day. OMG what a different dog I wish I had done this to start with. I
can't say that he didn't struggle some but he actually stood still while we
washed and rinsed him. Then I took about 4 big fluffy towels and dried him
off.

Lady on the other hand loves to get wet and loves going in the car. Talk
about opposite personalities.

I guess he forgave me when I bought them ice cream on the way home and this
time he didn't go to the other end of the yard and sulk after his bath.
