Unhappy Ticks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Have A 1 Year Old Pit Bull Mix She's My Baby! But I Can Not Keep Ticks Off Her To Save My Life & She Is Getting A Rediculous Amount! She Gets Frontline Once A Month Weekly Baths I Spray My Yard Regularly And My House Cause She Has Brought In A Tremoundus Amont Into My House & Nothing Seems To Help! What Else Can I Do? Is There A Reason That Ticks Are Attracted To Her? My Roomate Has A Boston Terrior And He Doesn't Have A Tick Problem At All! The Only Thing They Get Different Is Their Food! Could What I Feed My Pit Make Her More Tasty To Ticks?

Frontline is water-resistant, but the number of baths you are giving
her may be part of the problem. Frontline is distributed by oils in
the coat, so when you strip those oils away by washing the dog, you
are stripping away the tick protection.

I've had good luck with amitraz collars (Tick Arrest, Preventic,
Tick Detach). They work by paralyzing the ticks' mouths, so they
cannot attach to the dog. I occasionally find a few dying ticks
walking around on the carpet or the dog, but none attached.
