Tibetan Terrier Problem
Hi,
We have two Tibetan Terrier dogs both inherited from our daughter 5 years ago. One of them, 10 years old, has always had a cough which appears that he has either catarrh or something stuck in his throat, he even had this when our daughter had him. Sometimes it is quite persistent. We have had him to a very good local vet. many times, who himself is mystified at the cause of it. He has been x-rayed, had a camera down his throat, his lungs and his heart checked out etc.Various medicines and cough mixtures have brought no change, and still no reason has been found for it. The odd thing is that sometimes when he is coughing a lot we can tell him to "Stop it"-- and he does so! We are beginning to wonder if this could be an inherent weakness in the breed. Has anyone else come across this, or any advice on where to seek help? Many thanks John |
