Default Illinois dogs/puppies

I am looking for a dog in Illinois, close to St. Louis. Needs to be good
with kids or young enough to be brought up with them.

Your best bet is an adult dog. See your local shelters. There are lots
of really GREAT dogs there.

Kim,

Follow this link for a list of Illinois dog rescues:
http://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=sl...ois+Dog+Rescue

Or check with your local shelter. One advantage of a rescue dog is that
they are in a foster home and have most likely been honestly evaluated as to
temperament and suitability for a home with small children. A good rescue
will not place a dog with you that will not do well in your home, and they
work very hard to match people and dogs.

Good luck finding the right companion for your family!

I found my Pansy at http://www.impact4animals.com. They have dogs
available for adoption at the PetSmart on Watson the first weekend of
every month.
