Default sort of OT whining

Okay, it's January 2 and it's very warm and sunny out. Normally I don't
complain about sunshine, but it's JANUARY SECOND. I want some of this:

snow-wet hair!

Izzy loves the snow! It's a pain when she drags chunks of it embedded in
her fur, but she has so much fun it's well worth it. (Isn't that coat
amazing for a bitch?) She lives at my mother's house most of the time, but
I'll be bringing her here when (if) we get some snow. NOTHING sticks to
Roxy, which is nice, but once we get the chicken bone through her, she's
going to need her first bath in the better part of a year. Her feet
recently started to STINK. Like human feet!

I can't wait for some snow!!!! Some remnant of my childhood always gets
excited when I watch for school closings, even though I of course still
have to work.

I just want people to stop ragging about green and almost-balmy Buffalo
winters and give Denver the rotten reputation!

Our old dog passed last February. She just loved catching snow balls in her
mouth. That's the only part of winter I'll miss.
