Sugestions on sick dog
Hi there,
I have a 14 year old Beagle, Peanut, and she has been sick and wondering what the problem might be. Noticed last night and thought she might have eaten something bad and wanted to give it 24 hours. Today it seems she has been sick 3 or 4 times, her poop is runny, she seems restless. When she has been ill before she will usually curl up and sleep but today she has just been standing and was not responsive as usual. I had to push her to go back inside. She did sleep for a litte earlier but not for long. She didn't want to eat her food this morning but she did eventually, I put half her usual amount of this evening and she hasn't touched it. Her water consumption doesn't appear to have changed. I know this should be any number of things, but I wont be able to get her to the vet until the morning so after some ideas or suggestions as to what it could be and what I might be able to give her to make her feel comfortable. Thanks, Nigel |

Sugestions on sick dog
What did she eat? May be foreign body, if she is being sick after
eating something may be blocked somewhere. If it bad food starve her 24hrs and then offer something bland. If that not help take her to vets. Is she drinking? She can easily get dehydrated so may need to be admitted for i/v fluids |

There were no signs of vomit this morning. She seems to be sleeping well now so I think she is over the worst of it. Thanks for the suggestions. |
