Default Hormones in greyhounds

My just adopted retired racer is really big for a female greyhound, 28
inches tall and a muscular 75 pounds. I know that the racing greyhound
kennels give hormones to bitches to keep them from coming into season.
I am curious, might racing kennels also administer growth hormones or
steroids to grow them bigger? Or does my Amazon just have "big" genes?
