Default Training a dog through negative reinforcement

Tara O. wrote:
Most of the dogs I grew up with, both in my own house and those of
friends/family, were trained this way. Its already been pointed out that
the term is incorrect but the type of training you're talking about is still
pretty common today. When a dog barks in the crate, you tell it to shut up.
When a dog pees on the floor, you rub his nose in it. When a dog chews
something inappropriate, you swat him. This is the way things were done on
a large scale until about a decade ago and its still not extinct. Those who
don't read dog books or participate in online dog forums won't know that
this kind of training is frowned upon.

you killed your dog Summer the Boxer after forcing her into her crate,
to which she objected.

you murdered summer after abusing her, and then you blamed her for her
own death, like Janet Bossy Boss blames the "surly" dogs she kills for
making a "choice" to die.

What the HELL are doing lecturing someone on any kind of training that
is frowned upon when you murdered your own dog?

WHAT THE ****? Is there anyone home???

Its what their grandparents did,
their parents, and now themselves. People tend to learn most by example,
until they're shown another way.
