discussion about bunnies today. http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/bc/mam...tos.yahoo.com/ Really pretty cute. I bet there is a lot more fun and alot less competion going on in bunny agility.) Gwen |

Looking at the pictures, I'm wondering if the bunnies always have to be worked on leash. Can you teach them a good recall? Suja I wonder the same Suja. But I know the ppl I have known with them did claim there was something they used for like calling them. I betcha a clicker would do wonders. But I have no idea, to tell you the truth. Gwen |

Gwen The bunny I had when i was little didn't know his name, and didn't come when called, but he _did_ jump into his cage and wait for treats when i called out and said he was getting something he liked, he reacted on 1-2 different vegetables that way. As i said he never came when called, but I basically didn't know much about bunnies, including that you could train them at all, so i never expected him to learn much. He did however learn to go into his cage when asked to. He got more stubborn as he got older, and i had to stomp my foot as i told him to get into his cage. I only had one bunny after this first one was put to sleep, and the second one was not as smart. The second one was more timid and was always shy around people. Clicker training sounds like a good idea, but with the limited expereience with bunnies that i have, i wouldn't trust a bunny to be so reliable that one could keep it off leash out in the open. Rosa I totally agree with the above. I wouldn't expect a bunny to be reliable off leash, no matter how much training one had done. Gwen |
