Default How the dogs helped with the snow

The short version - they don't.

Longer version:

Considering that I had to help the mail carrier dig her SUV out after it
went off our driveway yesterday, I figured that I'd spend a little bit
of time to clear out at least part of the driveway (I have at least 200
ft. to do). The dogs came out with me to help, of course.

Pan: Hmmm, what's that thing? I MUST smell it. Especially while mommy
is pushing it around on the ground. Aaack! It makes noise (scraping
against the driveway). Run away, run away from the eeevil shovel.

Khan: Silly mommy, why would anyone want to get rid of *snow*? (Gives me
The Look)

Pan: Ooh, I must play. Right where mommy is shoveling. Lemme bark in
the scary, hairy beast's ear and see if he'll cooperate.

Much wrestling ensues.

Me: Guys, get out of the way! You're not helping!

Khan: Fine! I'll just curl up right here, right where you're shoveling.

Me: Khan man, move it or lose it!

Khan eluctantly moves. Immediately curls back up in the middle of my
flower bed. Since I wasn't shoveling there, I decide to let it go.

Pan: I'll bet mommy loooves kisses right about now. Slobber, slobber,
slobber.

Me: Pan dog, *not* on my glasses!

Pan: Fine! I'll just chase my tail. Proceeds to twirl around right
where I am shoveling.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

I was out there for about 2 1/2 hours. This, right after we came back
from our shortish (2 miles today, I hate crashing through crusty snow
and having to pick up my knees constantly) walk.

About the only good thing about shoveling so much is that I got a
*really* good workout out of it, and can probably afford to eat Bonbons
all day.

Suja
