Default Rush, of "On The Fence' fame

Do you remember the little BT I wrote about months ago, the one I
couldn't decide whether or not to keep?

I received my confirmation for this weekend's trial. There it was, in
black and white... Rush is entered in Novice B Standard and JWW. Yup, I
did it. There's the proof, I entered him in an agility trial.

Before he came to me, this dog was kicked out of agility schools for
being aggresssive, and rehomed a couple of times. Some of the agility
pros that labeled him as a 'bad' 'aggressive' dog are _big names in the
sport. He's now almost 5, and has some bad habits we're working hard to
diminish, if not extinguish.

He's come a long way in five months. {At least, I think it's been about
that long, my training log is out in the van.} This little dog is so
very talented, he really deserves a shot. I think he'll be fine, and I
think he'll do well in the ring.

I just don't believe he's as bad as the other trainers claimed, but I'm
in enough awe of _who has labeled him 'bad', that I still have some
nagging doubt. There's a little voice in my head that's saying 'Yeah,
but so-and-so says he's BAD'. After all, no one has asked _me to write
any books. :-)

So, we leave friday morning. He's entered, he's going, and we'll do our
best. I have faith in this dog, I believe he _can do it. He's all
business on the course, he has a rock-solid start line, and I've taught
him to jump in my arms at the finish. The stuff _between start and
finish is a piece of cake.

Wish us luck.

Debbie
