Beagle using crate as restroom
We have a beagle (Woody) who is about 2 years old and often goes to the
bathroom (#s 1 and 2!) in his crate. He has done this off and on since he was a puppy. In the training he went to, the leader said, "Dogs never go in their crates, as it is disgusting to them, and they won't go to the bathroom where they live." Well, Woody wasn't listening. We take him outside first thing in the morning and the longest he usually stays in the crate is 6 or 7 hours. It doesn't seem to made a difference how long he is in there, though. Any ideas or web references for this problem? Thanks! Bryan |
