Potty training issues
We have a beautifully natured black lab that's about 15 weeks old, and
is pretty good about potty breaks. She usually comes to us and barks, or goes to the back door and whines. She's so smart. Unfortunately, when she was a little smaller, and before I installed a run from the house to the garage, we had to keep her on a leash for her breaks, since she could squeeze through a couple of spots in the fence while we were inside. Now when we put her out for her breaks, if we aren't present constantly, she gets really pissed about being out, crying and barking, and doesn't always "go". This is our fault, since we trained her we would be there when she "goes". Now we want to change that. I don't want to be cruel and just leave her out there carrying on, and also not make the neighbors angry about the noise. Any suggestions? JC |
