Default Sometimes Macula is so nice...

When hubby or I am finished with a dish, we've traditionally put it on the
floor for the Pupster to clean up.

Well, Chris just crawled over to where Macula was cleaning out the last
molecules from a yogurt container and took the container from her mouth and
started gumming it himself. Macula just lay there watching him,
occassionally looking at me to make sure I knew what was going on. Waited
until Chris put the container down on the floor before retrieving it again.

I don't know what I did to be blessed with a non-food-possessive dog, but
Macula certainly deserves extra scritches for this one :-)

Just wanted to share.

Thanks for sharing Marie. It sounds like your boys are growing
fast. I know it seems like time is flying to your right now.

BTW, many animals that are raised around kids often allow
kids to do things that would not allow an adult to do. Cats
are particularly famous for allowing kids to pull on them
and not respond.

Still there are just as many animals that won't take it no matter what.

It sounds like Macula loves the boys too!

Glad you shared.

I wish there were some way to let the public know about things like this
without raising ridiculous expectations. Sure there are food possessive
dogs out there and dogs who don't get along with babies, but not every
dog will have every problem. Lots of dogs are fine with food and
babies. Naturally you supervise them, but there's no need to worry
excessively either.
