Default One Year Doberman and Fence Jumping.

Hello,

I have a one year old female Doberman that can jump over about
anything, she has been raised in a yard with a six foot privacy fence
and I found out she can jump when I put up a temporary fence so I
could seed part of the yard without the dogs running through it, she
would glide over the four foot fence like it wasn't there, she has
jumped over the large glass patio table and my wife while racing our
cattle dog.

We are moving to a new home that has a split rail fence with the
screening over it and as much as I can train her on the boarders of
the yard I am concerned that she will still make it over the fence.
Even once will probably send the new neighbors into a panic.

I saw that the family across the street put up an extra wire to extend
the height of the fence buy using an eye bolt and a wire between. You
can't really see it from a distance but it looks tacky up close.

I have thought of using an invisible fence and run it around the yard
and rather than bury it I was going to tack it to the wood fence with
plastic stand-offs.

I am hoping I can get her trained with a long lead before she has a
chance to jump.

Does anyone have a solution I have not thought of in the book I just
wrote above..g??

Thank you,

Steve
