I know there are a million queries related to what to do about barking
dogs but nonetheless I need your indulgence. I am a U.K. resident
living in a rural village with a neighbour whose dogs are barking at
all hours and waking me up. They bark at random, sometimes at small
sounds, sometimes at nothing at all all hours of the day or night.
They are 3 labradourswho you might loosely term "working dogs" he goes
out with his shotgun and takes them along, apart from that they are
left in the back garden in all weathers in a shed with no doors or
windows(little more than 3 walls and a roof). recently his dogs woke
me at 7 in the morning so I went round to complain. He didnt seem
bothered so I suggested that I wake him up next time and every time
his dogs woke me, in order to help him take my complaint seriously.
The next night at 130am I was woken again so I went to knock on his
door, to no response. All I managed to do was wake the rest of my
family. He is getting on a bit and is hard of hearing. His attitude is
very much one of "not my problem" as his sleep is not disturbed.
I would relly appreciate some sound advive.
