Help! Puppy poops in right spot then RUNS!!!
I have a 12 week old chihuahua pup.. We've had him for about 3 weeks,
and I've been successful with getting him to go into the bathroom to pee and poop on his pad.. Until a few days ago.. He usually gets a treat if he sniffs around on the carpet and makes a mad dash for the bathroom. But now he'll squat to poop in the correct place, it'll be halfway out, and then he'll run away with it dropping somewhere between the bathroom and the kitchen.. Has anybody had this problem before??? Its not like he'll only do it when i'm right there because he thinks i'll give him a treat.. He does it when he's by himself as well. Ahhhhh! THanks in advance, Andrew (& stewie) |

Is the pup allowed loose in all or a large portion of the house? If
so,you are in for major frustration of the kind you told us about here.... The house space is as big as the world to him. Reduce the space he has access to... a LOT. Also, for the time being, take him, on leash (!), to the pad about 10-20 minutes after each meal. on awakening, after playing hard, and about every two hours. Stand there and Keep him On the Pad until he has finished nature's duty. Jo Wolf Martinez, Georgia |

"A. C." wrote in message om... ...it'll be halfway out, and then he'll run away with it dropping somewhere between the bathroom and the kitchen... Is it possible it is causing him pain? And this makes him dart off? |
