Default Help! Puppy poops in right spot then RUNS!!!

I have a 12 week old chihuahua pup.. We've had him for about 3 weeks,
and I've been successful with getting him to go into the bathroom to
pee and poop on his pad.. Until a few days ago.. He usually gets a
treat if he sniffs around on the carpet and makes a mad dash for the
bathroom. But now he'll squat to poop in the correct place, it'll be
halfway out, and then he'll run away with it dropping somewhere
between the bathroom and the kitchen.. Has anybody had this problem
before??? Its not like he'll only do it when i'm right there because
he thinks i'll give him a treat.. He does it when he's by himself as
well. Ahhhhh!

THanks in advance,
Andrew (& stewie)
