Petsafe radio fence not working right
Hello,
I'm having two problems with the radio fence I just installed. The first is that the boundary control knob won't go below 5 on the transmitter, even when doing the short loop test. This is causing spurious signals in our garage, and causes the collar to go off when my dog is inside our garage, which I don't want to happen. The second problem is with the probes on the collar. My dog is a terrier mix with short but thick fur. The small probes don't seem to make contact with her skin, even with the collar on the highest setting. The long probes shock her about half the time, but I have to have the collar on her so tight that it must be uncomfortable for her. I can't seem to find a middle ground between having the collar shock her when it's supposed to, and having the collar loose enough to be comfortable. She's an older dog, and I don't want her to be in discomfort all the time. Thanks, Ed |
