Default and then there were two...

in sad news, echo-cat is no longer with us. she died in her
sleep last night, at the ripe old age of 15. when i got up
this morning, she was lying in her regular nighttime sleeping
spot outside the bathroom door. pandora and *elliott* were
both curled up with her. elliott had her tucked up against
his chest and wouldn't get up to go outside until i made him.
when i let the dogs out, pandora tried to wake her up by
washing her face and nudging her. she knew something was
wrong and was pretty upset about it. that, i expected. what
i didn't expect was how concerned elliott was. he really is a
very sweet boy.

i'm going to bury her in the woods this evening. she was
always a wild kitty, so i think that's fitting.

godspeed, little weirdo.
