I'm not GIVING my dog any food
Nope, he has to work for it and he seems very happy with the arrangement.
Now that there are not any other dogs to cheat and interfere I'm giving Tsuki his daily kibble in a Buster Cube. What took him seconds to inhale now takes at least 30 minutes of diligent batting and rolling of the buster cube. Due to a combination of events I wasn't paying attention and I let him gain weight. He is 56 pounds and needs to lose 2-4 pounds. He's an easy keeper, gets 1 cup kibble (by measuring cup) in the buster cube in the evening, and 3 "medallions" of frozen Prairie raw food in a kong and havaball when I leave in the morning. (recommended feeding for a 60 pound dog is 16 medallions). It keeps him busy and has really reduced the begging, hopeful looks. That together with increased exercise should do it. -- Diane Blackman http://dog-play.com/ http://dog-play.com/shop2.html |
