Default stay

Manu has finally mastered a task i once thought impossible... the stay,
with food near by. remember that this is an incredibly food motivated dog.
we've been practicing stay a LOT lately, as it's the one thing i think would
keep him from his CGC/TDI certs. today, i dropped a morsel about a foot
away from his face. he twitched, but didn't get up. i rewarded him, while
he kept his stay, and i walked around the corner, dropping a trail of treats
behind me. and he stayed. :-) i released him and he treated himself all
the way across the kitchen. i then tried the impossible. i put him in a
stay, and fed Lola treats, right in front of him. he nearly drowned in his
own drool. but he didn't get up.

i am so incredibly proud of my boy today.

we'll keep practicing this indoors, but next week, we try it outside.
