Manu is definitely part something. he's shedding. a LOT. not the leave a
hair here and there shedding that pit bulls do. but full on, clog the drain
when he gets a bath, his brush is full of hair, and his blanket is now
brindle shedding. that dog has an undercoat. or he did until i washed it
down the drain today.

so how long does this typically last, anyway? this is my first spring with
an undercoated dog.

Until the next dog starts shedding. They plan it that way.

How long the shed last depends on the dog, coat density, and
random inputs. Mine shed for anywhere from a couple of
weeks up to a couple of months. You can speed it along by
giving the dog a warm bath followed by a good blow-dry.

With Murphy, her coat blowing lasted forever. Rocky and Friday
shed constantly, but that's a far cry from Murphy's constant
blow.
