Default Fun Day at the Fun Match

Today I took Bodhi to a fun match.
We entered a couple of novice obedience runs.
The first one was okay, he was really distracted but
did NOT break his down stay (a problem we had at the last
fun match).
Second run went great, except he adores one of the ladies
that was a post for us during the Fig.8 & decided it would
be cool to leap straight up into the air & give her a kiss (no
paws touched her, but he managed to lick her on the chin!).
Again, he held his down stay. Yay!

I noticed that they were having an "Anything Goes" conformation
class, in which altered dogs can show right along with the "regular"
dogs. I have been helping a friend off & on w/ her puppy, handling
for her when she has conflicts, so I decided I'd enter & just have fun.
I figured that Bodhi would have a good time, since he'll get to eat
in the ring (read, he is a BIG chowhound!) AND I could work on my
handling skills.

Well, we ran around the ring, no kidding *4* times ( I was winded!).
For never really training him to stand for a judge, or gait properly,
we did pretty good. Bodhi got a HUGE cookie from the judge.
Then, when we went back in for the Herding Group judging, we ended up
taking a Group 2! Woo hoo!
Here I said yesterday that I didn't have any ribbons. Well, now Bodhi
has his very first ribbon! Yay!
