Female Yorkie Displaying Post-Spay Agression
Hello everyone, hope you might be able to help with something that's really
troubling me... I have a 3yo female yorkie named Winnie that was spayed this month. She had one litter in October and was spayed after her heat cycle (February). Winnie has two older 'brothers' that are 8yo 65 lb golden mixes. After the spay, she started displaying an agressive behavior towards one of them (Toby), attacking him just for walking in the room and growling if he even comes within earshot. So far he's restrained himself from responding, but he has a history of nipping. Is this a normal post-spay behavior? She was never agressive before and isn't agressive with the puppies or with Casey (the golden x bassett). Any suggestions to get them back into a friendly relationship? Thanks for your help!
