Dogs and House Insurance
Hi All,
This isn't a rant but just a question out of curiousity. First a little background. DH and I have had the same house and car insurance since we were married (12.5 years) and he had been with this company before that. As with everything...rates go up but the hubby decided he would check into some other companies to see if our rates are "still as good comparitively" as they used to be. So anyway....he called a company this week that we had heard has very good rates. They asked if we had dogs....DH - yes 4. Well then they asked the breeds and when the hubby reported our oldest....DH stated a Husky mix. (I actually think he's an Alaskan Mal. mix, but that's neither here nor there). Well the rep. on the phone said...sorry but we cannot insure you because you have a Husky! So I'm just curious as to what other breeds others have found to be on insurance companies lists? Again, we have no ill will....actually we both got a good laugh out of it (If you knew Bo, you would understand). He's the most laid back, lovey dovey dog you would want to meet. Jan |
