A Rocky brag
Many of you know the agility challenges that Rocky has been
through, what with his epilepsy, the drugs, his one-year retirement from agility because of his lack of co-ordination (might have been lack of interest - I've never figured it out). Anyway, on Saturday Rocky received his first title since his epilepsy onset: VAADC (Veterans Advanced Agility Dog of Canada). There aren't many titles in the AAC, so this one was especially gratifiying. Rocky's now in the Masters level of Standard/Titling, Jumpers, Gamblers, and Snooker. We're still awaiting an Advanced Team Relay Q to move us up in that game. And waiting, and waiting... Plus, he's now 20 months seizure-free. On a side note, Friday received no Qs this weekend, but my current training/trialing method is to run him as fast as I can with no call-offs, so this was not unexpected. However, we did run clean on our half of a very difficult Masters Team Relay. -- --Matt. Rocky's a Dog. |
