NADAC guts Gamblers
NADAC, in its infinite wisdom, has decided to gut the Gamblers class.
There will no longer be a separate Gamblers class. Competitors will no longer be able to plan an Opening for their Gamble. Instead, there will just be a line somewhere in the Regular course, and if you choose to run it as a Gamble, voila, you have a Gamblers leg! But of course you have to PAY for a Gamblers run, even if you decide last minute not to do it (which apparently you can do). Clubs will have to provide TWO timers for ONE ring, one to do the Gamble, one for the Regular portion. It's unclear what happens when a dog is running both Open Gamblers and Novice Standard. This change was apparently made without the knowledge of most of the judges. Only people who have run the last fundraiser knew about it. And now, to stifle criticism, NADAC has gone totally moderated on their list. CPE anyone? |
