come out, come out, wherever you are!
last Friday was Chick Day, so i went next door to look at my
neighbor's new baby chicks (day-um, but they're cute!). i was gone 30-40 minutes, and when i got home, was greeted by a whole lotta No Dog. *very* odd. the dogs always greet me at the front door, no matter how long or short my absence is. i checked the couch, under the coffee table, and looked up the hallway. bupkis. then i checked the computer room, laundry room, and bedroom (dogs are usually locked out of all three when i'm not home, but i was starting to question my sanity at this point). as i passed the bathroom, i hear a ping. i turned on the light, and saw elliott, *in* the bath tub with his chin propped on the edge, grinning from ear to ear. this is the second time in 11 years that i've found him in the bath tub. i checked the bedroom, but no harriet. i went back to the living room, and checked her crate. there she was, sprawled on her back, flews flopped up, watching me. now, she likes her crate and will hang out in it and take naps there, but she's *never* missed coming to the door before. freaks. i think they were screwing with my head. -- shelly (perfectly foul wench) and elliott and harriet http://home.bluemarble.net/~scouvrette
