Any of your dogs do this? I have chew hooves and smoked bones all over
the house, yet, if Laika is chewing on one of them, even if there's
another one right in front of Angel, she'll stan dther and bark at Laika
"gimmee! gimmee!". Right now Laika's lying contendly there gnawing on
a hoof, and Angel's actually looming over him, staring intently at the
hoof (and Laika's ignoring her) even though there's another one right
beside her.

Who needs tv when you have dogs for entertainment :-).

Sure - in fact, I've learned that when I'm passing out
marrow bones, or greenies, or any sort of goodies I have to
give Emmett his last or else he'll take his and then wait to
see what the others got, and possibly try to take it.

The Bush administration is spending more on TV ads about Medicare than
it would cost to create a safe system for importing prescripion medicines.

yep. the bone is *always* tastier on the other side of the
fence.

elliott doesn't overtly play the bone coveting game (he's
passive aggressive about it). harriet, though, will stand
over him until he gives up the bone. then she carries off to
The Bone Pile. repeat as necessary until all the bones are in
The Bone Pile. then harriet lies on top of them, like Smaug
guarding his hoard.

elliott's part is to make sure harriet sees that he's got
Something Very Tasty. It--whatever It is--doesn't seem to
taste as good if harriet doesn't covet it. i used to feel
sorry for him when he got all his bones stolen, until i
realized that he really *was* asking for it. i figure it's
their weird little game and i won't interfere unless someone
gets their feelings hurt. in the meantime, like you say, it's
damned fine entertainment.

Who needs tv when you have dogs for entertainment :-).

that's their #1 job, as far as i'm concerned.

My dogs play musical bones. One dog leaves his bone to steal the other
dogs chewy. The dog thats now without the chewy steals the one that the
third dog has, the third dog goes and gets the bone the first one left
behind.

Add to that that two of my dogs look like they popped out of a Dr. Seuss
book and yeah, it's better then TV any day.
