Chemo poop
A friend has an interesting problem. She has 3 Cairns, one of which
is getting oral chemo every other day. She is in a wheelchair and all of the dogs have constant access to the yard through a doggie door. Now the problem - the dog with cancer had a coprophagia problem as a pup and she's not completely sure it's 100% gone. A 2nd dog is a rescue she's adopted within the past 6 weeks so the new dog's habits aren't completely known yet. Of course, she doesn't want any of the dogs getting extra/any chemo drugs by eating poop. Right now she has the dog being treated tied to her chair by a long line, or crated if she leaves the house, so she can be absolutely sure to clean up immediately after he defecates. Anyone got any better suggestions? Thanks, Lynn K. |
