Advantix: Divided Doses?
When I phoned the vets' offices, checking prices for Frontline Plus, I
learned that some vets have totally switched to Advantix. So it must be good. Can you divide the doses of Advantix, like you could for Frontline Plus? Susan, Su_Texas my opinions |

The switch to Advantix has primarily been made because it repells
mosquitoes... West Nile Virus, Eastern Equine Enchepahlitis (which dogs can get).... Why would you divide the dose and reduce effectiveness? First time I've heard of that... shrug Jo Wolf Martinez, Georgia |

It can be cheaper to buy the largest dose, & divide it down.
If you have two 75 pound dogs, & divide a dose for 150 pound, then you can save some money. I have seven large dogs. Susan, Su_Texas my opinions PS Actually, I'll divide the dose down even further, in order to use the least amount that is effective, ... such as using one 150 pound dose to treat three or four 75 pound dogs. If I don't see fleas or mosquitoes biting them, then they're probably OK. Of course, there's always some risk in anything you choose to do. |
